20 days!

All of a sudden my trip is right around the corner!!!! I have been busy crunching those final numbers and working on my packing list, that I lost track of time. New Hope works with a wonderful organization in Hong Kong called Med Art who help provide surgeries for little ones waiting to be adopted. I have had fun gathering supplies that will also be helpful to those traveling to take the babies back and forth for surgery. There is a very high chance that I will be one of those people but nothing is ever confirmed until last minute. From the beginning of planning this trip I said that I was opened to going where ever I was most needed. They know that preschool is very near and dear to my heart but if a baby that needs surgery comes up that will be more important. Please be praying for the other 2 volunteers as they are already in HK with babies. I am fully trusting God and know that he has the perfect plan for my summer already laid out.

Many of you already know that I was granted the 10 year multi entry visa which is what I asked for. This was super exciting as this will save money on future trips. The past couple of weeks I have put my own fundraising on the side as I was trying to gather the supplies that are needed for preschool and the hospital stays. I still have a few items on my wishlist if anyone is interested in ordering anything. It is all through Amazon and items are shipped straight to me. Less then a month

Hard to believe that in less then a month I will be heading back across the ocean. Things are all coming together which is pretty exciting. My visa has arrived, supplies are being gathered and bags are being packed.

For those that don't know I have a baby registry set up on Amazon with some of the supplies that I am still hoping to gather before I head out. Some of the baby toys, bows and baby legs ( if anyone has babylegs or bows that they would like to pass down from their kiddos please let me know as well)  are for little ones going to surgery. I believe that all little ones deserve to look cute while in the hospital and they have had lots of babies heading in and out. These toys are also super easy to carry in a diaper bag and keep the kiddos entertained during their stay. Another toy idea that is not on the list is little people ( just the people because they are easy to carry). I am so thankful for each and every one of you that have already ordered something off the list  It means so much to me and I can't wait to post pictures of all those cuties wearing their swim diapers!

Supplies!

One of the things I budget for is to be able to bring a second suitcase over with me. This suitcase gets filled up with goodies for New Hope. I normally bring some clothes and then ask what preschool supplies are most needed at the time. My past 2 trips I have been able to bring over some thirty-one bags that I earned from my fundraiser that are used to help organize items in the preschool room. One of the needs this year is swim diapers and we are going to start trying to use as many reusable swim diapers as possible for a couple of reasons. 

1. It will cut down on swim diaper cost 

2. It will free up room in supply suitcases being brought over 

3. They are more eco friendly and easy to use.

 iplay is a great brand for reusable swim diapers and Jameson uses them all the time. To make it easy I have set up a baby registry on Amazon with various sizes in the swim diapers and this also makes it easy for people to order and they are shipped straight to me. 2 years ago today I was boarding a plane to spend 10 weeks away from family half way around the world. Even though it was going to be my third trip it was different then the others. I was going to be gone for 10 weeks and by myself! That summer changed and grew me in more ways then I can count. I grew closer to God and he opened my eyes even more to caring for his children. I have memories from that summer that I will never forget. I am so thankful that he is calling me back to New Hope in just a little over a month I will be boarding that plane again. I know this trip will bring its own challenges and memories but I can't wait to see what God has in store. I am almost ready with just a little more funding and steps to get through but I know that it is all in his hands and for that I don't need to worry and I just need to trust on God to get everything done in his timing.

Almost there!!!!

Wow it is crazy to think that I will be at New Hope in less then 2 months!!!! I am still in awe at all the amazing support and love from each and everyone of you. I have .....................

to raise!!!!! My next step is applying for my visa so please keep this process in your prayers that everything goes through smoothly for the one I am applying for. 

As of right now I do not have any other fundraisers planned besides trying to book Jamberry parties. I have been blessed by the amazing ladies that have come along side of me to help me raise money towards my trip by donating their commissions. 

I wanted to share with ya'll a fundraiser that I have going on ( not for me) for New Hope Foundation the very place that I will be heading back to for 2 months this summer. They have had some financial set backs this year but I know that God has a bigger plan and he is already helping to start rebuild some of the funding but they still need more. Update :)

I just can't say thank you enough to everyone for your prayers and support! I have about $875 left to raise for my trip which means I am SO close! I have purchased my plane tickets and have been working on the best way to go about applying for my visa when the time comes. I have started gathering the supplies that I will take over. I am more limited in this department this time due to the sense that I will only have 1 extra suitcase for supplies and what I can shove in my suitcase and carry on. Where the past trip I was able to have 4 extra bags because I had others flying over with me. I will be bringing over the most needed items at the time and will save the other things I have been collecting for future trips or to send to TN to have sent over with someone traveling.

So, where does this put me in preparing for my trip? I have a few more fundraisers in the work and my next one will be starting April 15th and will be a Pampered Chef fundraiser. I will provide the link in the fundraiser tab closer to the start.
